Beech leaf bonnet?

Prompted by AJC's posting yesterday of Mycena capillaris I set off this morning to see if I could find this interesting little fungi growing on beech leaf litter or even an example of Beechmast Candlesnuff, Xylaria carpophila. I could find no trace of the latter but eventually did find this fungus, definitely growing out of a beech leaf but with an under developed cap. I'm not sure that it is Mycena capillaris - there should be more than one if it is - but, if not the capillaris then what?
