A slice of Lesley's life

We made it, Frank!

Though I’m not sure when he was singing about how if you could make it here you could make it anywhere he literally meant the journey. It has largely been a day of packing and travelling. A slightly too eventful journey that at one point had a weird role reversal of me clinging to the armrest willing the pilot to make it through the turbulence whilst Carl slumbered away. Even more bizarre he afterwards told me he had quite enjoyed the rollercoaster feeling.

Anyway, the pilot did what pilots do and we are safely arrived. Mad journey into town despite us assuming everyone would be leaving but I think that didn’t help as the traffic cops were focused on helping folks leave, not arrive. We eventually abandoned our cab and walked the last mile or so.

Quick refresh and out for dinner at the splendid Mercer Kitchen. The main purpose (if it can warrant that lofty a title) is to attended the celebration of Jimi Hendrix’s birthday at Terra Blues tomorrow. But essentially the plan is two days of walking and eating.
