A pause on their journey

The traditional transhumance of the Merens horses is taking place.  These perfectly adapted mountain horses are making their eight day journey from the high pasture of the Cerdagne plateau to the coast for the winter.  They had an overnight stop in the village before the cowboys rounded them up in the morning to continue their journey.
