Missing you Mum...
Backblip
Not!
Up early to be downstairs in time for the landscapers arriving. Felt really strange to walk into the kitchen and not be greeted by Lola. Miss her cuddles, licks and smiley face.
Chatted with Dan for a few minutes and he was delighted to hear that we are over the moon with the work they have done in the garden so far. They are putting plants in today and really looking forward to seeing what they have chosen. We told them we wanted sensory plants with scent, structure and colour.
Ele arrived just after 3pm and we headed to Gloagburn for coffee and cake. Turns out neither of us had had lunch, so we ended up having a sandwich instead. Had a wander in the shop afterwards and got a couple of Christmas pressie ideas and will go back another day to purchase. Will have cake during that visit since we didn't have space today.
Back home and we settled ourselves with some nibbles and Prosecco and watched Children in Need. It was the usual rollercoaster of emotions, and as usual I had a rant about how disgusting it is that such needed services have to rely on charity to not just survive, but exist in the first place.
We were still full up from our late lunch so ended up not having any dinner and instead had a toasted bagel and a cuppa around 10pm.
Shona sent me a text around 9pm saying that Lola had had a lovely day and was being the perfect house guest. Phew! She sent this photo of her and it just had to be my blip. I miss her!
David is also having a lovely time in the Lake District. Missing him too :-)
