What's it take...

Today was utterly miserable. I've no scientific explanation for how or why, but in my little part of Cumbria the sun never rose. It was actually dark all day. 

I know I blip the red squirrels a lot especially now that I'm less mobile, but today was terrible so I thought I share with you a little of the ones that don't make the grade. The squirrel clearly does many of these things simply to taunt me. Those tufty little ears obviously mistake the whirr of the camera focusing for the whisper of ghostly owl wings. He'll go left, left, lef....oops right.
But every so often they'll stop and stare and then you can see it clearly. They're just as curious as me.
