Lows and highs

Having to sort out some tiffs between people at work today...emotions running high and egos enflamed.
A few set piece meetings passed the day but felt weary and hungry. Lovely to arrive at C’s for book group ....lots of delicious comfort food and chat about our book ‘Dear Olivia’ by Mary Contini. Not well written but interesting to have learned about the Italians who came to live in Edinburgh before the First World War and their struggles to establish their businesses here. So much family history behind names we know so well now (Valvona and Crolla etc).
Chat about holiday planning, wallpaper, sexual harassment policies , orchestral playing and EU funding. Classic book group evening!
