A Light In The Darkness

I took a few shots of the light and  its bulb for part of this 7 day black and white challenge that is doing the rounds on another social media site.
The pictures were taken with the light switched on and using spot metering to get the contrast I was looking for.
Of course they have also been 'tweeked' to improve things a bit.

The camera club's year long, weekly challenge is coming towards an end and two of the subjects came to mind - one being favourite fruit/vegetables. One of my favourite (as a photographic subject if nothing else) is the pepper . I didn't have any as interesting as Mr Weston's and when I cut it in half it was even more boring with no real interest in the seeds.
I think I will need to think again for that subject.

Another subject is 'an insect' ... which may be a problem at this time of year..
I did find a large spider in the bath this evening - but technically that is not an insect.
I have a few days to come up with something so these may not be used.

We started a new regime with the monsters this afternoon.
The Cygnet's French lessons have increased slightly to an hour which makes things rather tight for getting home and eating before Squirrel has to go to Brownies or whatever it is.
So now Squirrel gets dropped off at home about 4pm and The Cygnet will be eating with us and then be picked up by his Mum after she has dropped off Squirrel.
The Cygnet had asked if he could have spaghetti bolognaise - but without mushrooms ..........good choice! (I don't like mushrooms either)
He ate a lot more than I expected.
Just a shame I had forgotten there was a strudel to go in the oven - although I think The Cygnet would have been a bit full. It just means more for me tomorrow.
