Puisto
It's been a pretty awful 30 hours or so, and we aren't quite out of the woods yet, but things are looking up. For those freaked by Mr A's celebration of the wired nature of this country, please be assured that these are more precautionary than anything else. I was out there this afternoon, and he seems pretty chipper in himself, and the number of text messages he sent me saying he was bored tells a clear story. He now has a book and an ipad, and all the relevant chargers. However, he doesn't have much wifi where he is, so he may not manage to blip or comment. Hopefully he'll take some photos, but he is confined to bed for now. We should know more by this time tomorrow evening.
Thanks to everyone who has commented here, and all the people who have been in touch by various means. It's been good to hear from people, as it has been a rather disconcerting experience in a country and an environment that we're not familiar with. But as usual we cannot fault the professionalism of the support we've received.
I didn't sleep too much last night, but I'm sincerely hoping for a better night tonight!
