Waiting

After many years of delay, Helsinki's metro line extension opened today. I mentioned this to Mr A as we were going into town to do some shopping. I wondered if a lot of people had turned out for it.

Much later on I discovered from Finnish TV news that the answer was yes. It was mobbed. It was the first time I've seen Finnish TV news and it was in rather peculiar circumstances. I was in the hospital waiting room waiting very anxiously to hear about Mr A. It does seem likely he will be in hospital for a few days. But he does seem reasonably OK in himself. A bit early to tell I guess.
