River Again

Such a beautiful morning I went quickly from letting the hens out on the allotment to get to the river walk again. Oh my it was just golden just golden
- in every sense of the word. I walked further this time and up into the woods which was quite magical. I met a few dog walkers and a horse rider and just oohed and aahed my way along the path and into the woods.
Once home I began the great bulb plant as the hyacinths from last year were already showing green tips! This then led to another little tidy up in the back garden - soon it will be looking quite bare but for the moment I have 3 roses about to bloom, a final flower on the Centaurea, my Clematis putting up an unexpected flower and indoors my Angel Trumpet and Bougainvillea  still flowering! What a beautiful November this is being!
Just as i was about to go up the allotment Friends daughter phoned me asking for a lift to the Dr's as she had missed the bus. I flew out the house, no time to change into allotment clothes. I was concerned to hear she was having blood tests and that she has had almost constant indigestion for months. I wonder if it is grief related but for obvious reasons she is greatly concerned. I told her about my visit to The Herbalist and she was most interested. I dropped herv at the Dr's and then went back to the village to put the hens to bed. There was a most spectacular sunset and as I was waiting for the girls to go in, they didn't want to say goodbye to the glorious day either, I dug up the beautiful  white rose on an abandoned plot that I had seen when looking for Polly. Just as i had finished Friends daughter phoned to say she was ready to be picked up. The Dr gave her indigestion medicine even though she had told her she had tried everything. I offered to pay for an initial consultation with The Herbalist as her christmas present if she was really interested - she was!
An unexpectedly active day and now 2 blood results to await. A calmer evening of kniting and ironing.
