A Laughingstocker of the Cocker
Blip times are tough,
Blip times are hard.
You just know they are...
when I shoot Charley on guard.
Look at that scene out the window. It has rained here for most of the day. Dark, damp, and depressing.
We did have one "fun" adventure. Charley is a runner, and she escaped out the front door. Merrick and I gave chase, me in my flannel jammie pants and oversized Duck Dynasty t-shirt. Quite a sight, I'm sure.
She ran 5 houses to the East, as I circled behind her. She then returned to our front porch, and we almost had her. But, she bolted again to the West, and ran for 7 houses...crossing the street several times. SO FRUSTRATING!!!
I yelled to Merrick to go back to the house, and have Grandma come find us in the van. The puppy ended up falling for the old..."Does Charley want to go?" trick as Grandma Lisa pulled up in the van.
Any suggestions on how to cure a dog of running? I'm afraid that one of these times when she escapes...it might be her last escape.
