A little bit of home

The library in my own college was closed this afternoon and so I went to Knox College, which is the Presbyterian college in the Theology School. As the name suggests, it has strong Scottish roots and a very distinct Scottish feel to it.

As I was sitting there, the library was filled with some really simple and beautiful organ music and of course I had to investigate. It brought me to this lovely little chapel. It too is very simple, even austere for Catholic eyes , given that we are used to many more decorative features, nevertheless it has its own very particular beauty. 

The slightly out of focus picture doesn't do it justice, but it was a lovely discovery for a Friday afternoon.
