two of my favourite things
Today has included two of my favourite things: curry (a night out with some of the guys in the community) and cleans (the olympic weightlifting workout today at the gym).
I managed a really surprising 70kg clean this afternoon, which is only a few kgs off my best ever and getting close to bodyweight. I've been doing lots of the basics at the gym in recent weeks - core strength, mobility, not pushing myself too hard too fast - and it seems to be all coming together in an unexpected way.
The picture today is of chalk - used to help with grip (and in my case protect my hands) when throwing around a heavy barbell.
