Light on the Hill
The olive pickers didn't turn up today, so we had a day "off", and got lots done.
Went to Évora this afternoon, and bought a wood burning stove, a welder and a bit of wood to make a toilet seat... Basically, doesn't make sense to buy a plastic seat for an ecological composting toilet, and none of the wooden ones close properly, so (as though he's not got enough to do) Mike will make one. Oh, and a lemon tree, and two yellow roses, for either side of the door.
This was our view of Monsaraz on the way back - I love the way the town is always lit up on top of its hill, in the middle of the inky blackness - filled with stars. In trying to show up the stars, the town and its reflection have gone weird, oh well. Knew it wasn't a great photo, but taken in a rush on the bridge before another car came past - plus, it was cold.
