Lisa Hannigan
A great gig tonight, Lisa Hannigan playing Live at St. Lukes. St. Lukes is a converted Church of Ireland church in Cork, when I say converted, I mean there is a stage where there was an altar. Everything else is much the same, uncomfortable pews and queues for the loo instead of confession. Though probably not confession in Church of Ireland come to think of it. The acoustics there are really, really good though and the light show last night fairly stunning. It is a bring your own beer venue, so the sight of the cans and the popping of the ring pulls beneath the vaulted ceilings is pleasantly incongruous.
A few more here from the gig plus one from this morning in Clon and a wet one I'd forgotten but liked from Skib on Friday. Lisa and a few more
There are many Lisa songs on video out there, I'd recommend them, I've linked an older duet with Paul Noonan from Bell X1, going to see him locally in a few weeks, looking forward to that already.
