Big e-coli scare in Canada this week - massive recall of beef after Alberta slaughterhouse stuffed up 'self-inspection' of plant. So we go out to dinner. Order beef - Jools the pot roast, me the Firecracker Surprise Burger (the surprise was finding the burger beneath the onion rings, sauce and assorted green things).

We're brave. Not afraid of anything. We've survived wars, a revolution - and several Tory governments. So, are we going to worry about a silly little e-coli outbreak?
