Birthday

I had a very busy day. I cooked lunch for the family - daughters, nieces and their families. It was my decision to have them all today as it combined my birthday AND an early family party for our Golden Wedding which is on 17 November.

I did a treasure hunt for the 8 children which took them up the woods through the alligator swamp, past the bear cave, into the deep dark forest where the Gruffalo lives. After the moor gate they played on big rocks and hid in the long heather.

Ella and Nathaniel are staying till tomorrow night as their parents are at the other grandad’s 70th near Hull.
