Busy bee entrance
Today Mr hazelh and I had a flashback to our life when we both worked full-time. Back in those bad old days our Saturdays were consumed by a routine that included: a trip to two supermarkets; shopping on Broughton Street for meat, fish and wholefoods; ad hoc purchases such as birthday presents in town; a race to the post office before it closed; cooking for weekend guests; cooking for ourselves; the washing; and exercise. Today I did all the above apart from the washing.
This afternoon's cookathon was in aid of two sets of visitors. Tomorrow two of my oldest friends (we were at school together) are coming over for lunch with their husbands, and next Saturday we are hosting a dinner party for some other friends with whom we used to run regularly. The meals will not be identical, but they do share the same main course of venison casserole. I have also taken charge of our evening meal this evening: lemon chicken, broccoli and mashed potatoes.
I took my blip between the post office and the first supermarket. It is the entrance to an old office building which has been converted into flats.
Exercise today: 10 mile cycle in 52 minutes (including a stop to complete a Sustrans survey); walking 15,651 steps
