Watching paint dry

A busy day of decorating - painting the stairs and landing to be precise. In the gap whilst the first coat of paint dried we popped up to the Crown at High Newton at lunchtime for some refreshment. Despite being very close I had not realised or previously noticed just how amazing the view is from Newton Fell. You can see the Howgills, the Dales and even as far as Arnside Knott. A far better view than watching paint dry and the beer was very refreshing.
