the Autumn leaves ….

… is what I played on the guitar this morning.  My version is what might best be described as ‘enthusiastic’ rather than subtle or sensitive.  

Had my first lesson last night; I like the teacher - I think we’ll get on.  Lessons are every fortnight and I have a lot of homework to do between now and the next one.

I’ve a lot to learn - as well as unlearn.  I read somewhere that it takes about 6 weeks for a new habit (or repeated action) to become second nature.  Perhaps a bit longer for ageing stiff fingers.  We’ll see.  It’s  early days yet.
