The Silk Road
Went to the coffee morning at 10:00. Had coffee, quiche & Sylvia's cheese scones with cayenne pepper for breakfast before helping with the coffee making & washing of dishes. A desperate lady bought all all our peanutbuttercookies to pass off as her own (she did have one to taste before). Because they were not all the same shape & size, they could easily be passed off as being baked by her. Not sure it that's a compliment, but will take it as one anyway.
Then we went to tesco for a shop. Wanted to look at the new ipad, but there were so many brats playing games on the display ones that we didn't have a chance. They missed a possible sale there (We can't afford one, but they didn't know that.)
Came home & had tjips with dip & tiger bread for lunch. When we went out to give the chickens a treat the harvested field looked like a shiny lake. Gone were the stubbles. Millions of spider webs were spun over the tops (or travelling to China via Scotland). With the sun shining on them the field was shiny & smooth instead of hard & spiky.
Now I am enjoying a Domaiene Mercadier Chardonnay & C a Liebfraumilch while he is preparing oak smoked kippers from Anchor Smoke House, which we will have with mushroom fried rice & salad. The salad is conditional on me finishing playing on Blip & making it.
