Is It Halloween Yet?

I had the longer lens out again this morning - and for once the birds got it wrong and stayed just within range. 
The Robin wasn't a real surprise - but the Heron was. Not that it hung around, but it was good enough to let me get two shots before it showed me its bum as it flew off to a better spot just out of range.
Just as well the trees can't make a break for it .... or maybe they can.

I only came across one free standing mushroom - the others were bracket types .... some more frilly than others.

I have been 'redesigning' some old bowls on the lathe today --  but apart from that ...........................
