Pass the brolly!

Unbroken rain today!

Up at 6:30 and working on No1 son's house all day.
A very old house of very traditional build, primarily granite but also very old brick and crumbly mortar!!
We are creating a bathroom on the 1st floor and took the opportunity to replace the ceiling which, as usual exposed a few challenges!
Treated the whole roof space against mould and woodworm, just in case, then had to strengthen the ceiling with nice new timber of much greater strength.
Looks really good and strong now although any house project in progress looks a bit messy.
Studwork up and so time to start lining and plasterboarding prior to plaster.
We are not builders but fairly experienced in this type of work.
Progress is slow but sure and, what else can you do in the rain?
(apart from chill, have a few beers, watch a movie, shop, walk, blip, cook, eat, sleep etc etc)
