Dog meets seal

Happily walking along the Baleshare beach and Ruadh did a double take and then froze. I wouldn't have seen the young seal if she hadn't. A confrontation then ensued but it was always going to end up as a no score draw, indeed perhaps favouring the seal. Ruadh is by nature a coward (good thing too!) and so retreat seemed to be the best option.
With a couple of other freshly dead seals and a washed up White-sided Dolphin, the weather has clearly been unkind to the marine mammals recently. The ravens thought it good news however. The American Golden Plover was still there showing off by the road, keen to be noticed.
