Phase 3 of the garden

Now that the summer is coming and the clay is drying out, and hardening, it must be time to start digging in the garden.

There are metres and metres of foundation ditches to be dug for the retaining walls, but at least we have made a start.

The bottom of the up hill wall will need to match the top of the downhill one. It seems quite exaggerated in this shot but its a good 70cm, or 7 layers of bricks.
