Portugal - Odeceixe - Day 7

Backblip

It's been hotter than it should be for the time of year, but today surpassed itself getting to 33 degrees on 14 October! I thought when I booked this a year ago that temps could be around 21 if lucky but they have been in the high 20s since we arrived almost a week ago. The country is needing rain it's been the most prolonged hot spell for over 80'years.

We decided to have a beach day today so we travelled to Aljezur somewhere we know well having been there visiting a couple of times. We bought some sandwiches for a picnic on the beach and had a small refreshment as we waited on them.

The beach was nice it was recommended by Jill but I had wished afterwards we had gone to Carrapateirra beach as this one sloped quite a lot. The boys had fun we ate our picnic under the brollies we brought but it was just too hot so went left and stopped in the village for juice to cool down. Decided as it was later to have food too and ate there. There are a lot of surfers here and the portions are massive.

Half hour drive back to the Quinta and a quiet night.
