Walking behind

Reading and more reading all morning. Took a break for lunch, and then back to the reading until I got to a point where I needed to get out in the wild wind (Wellington strength) while it was still sunny. Took the Pentax with me and went down to the Snells Beach waterfront.

Tide way out. Lots of heron in the pools of water in amongst the mud and seaweed. This pair were well apart when first seen, and then the one walking crossed behind the static one. This one before the crossing sides was better than the one after.

It is better large. S particularly likes the feathers being ruffled by the wind, and the inclusion (albeit slightly out of focus) of the other heron.
