a moment's sun

The hip was fine this morning so after some clearing out I decided on a run which got stretched as I went along as it was going well and I ended up doing over 8 miles.
It was a grey, raw day but late afternoon there was a brief burst of sunshine - so brief I didn't get a chance to get a decent pic of the lit-up tree. Instead of looking for another subject I tried out some of the in-camera editing and this is what I got.
This evening we were at a concert organised by a running friend in aid of cancer charities. He is being treated himself but at present is well and making the most of it. We had an enjoyable and varied evening.
