Stowe Gardens

Travelling south to Southampton and the New Forest for a weekend of Orienteering. We decided to break our journey with a visit to Stowe Gardens near Newbury. This is a relatively recent acquisition working since 1989 to restore the Grade one listed Gardens.

The building you see in the photo was the house of Lord Viscount Cobham but was sold off in the early 20th century and is now a school. We walked around the lakes and enjoyed the reflections and late Autumn colour.
