to Prepare for the Show

on Saturday our beekeeping societies are holding their annual convention and show. This year we are all being encouraged to submit entries for the honey competition.  

There will be a  honey judge coming to the Island and so we will all have to try and do our best.

So here you see my honey exhibits being prepared ready for exhibition.

The small rectangles of brown glass are called grading glasses.  These (hopefully) enable one to decide whether the honey should be exhibited in the light, medium or dark honey classes. 

I am a honey judge myself so there is no pressure then!
