Royal Pyre

This is the royal pyre where King Rama IX was cremated a few days ago. It is meant to symbolize Mount Meru from where the dead ascent to paradise.
The site is only open to the public for two days before it is dismantled. I will add more pictures and some information on my blog as this is a once in a lifetime site.
