Mountain walking

We enjoyed a brilliant 9 mike hike today, through boulder-strewn plateaus, wild sage and juniper. It was sunny (but cool) so we had a picnic lunch too. This region (Serra da Estrela or Star Mountains) is the highest in Portugal and stunningly beautiful. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s walk now!
