Storytime was a bit full-on this morning - a whole roomfull of 'little bunnies' hopping crazily up and down like some kind of old-school punk rock gig... A couple of hours peaceful cataloguing at Bromley House in the afternoon was just the tonic. Beck was in London all day at meetings but still managed to dash back in time to catch 'Killing them Softly' at Broadway. Nice to see a classic 70's style movie - gangsters smoking in cars under underpasses, bungled heists and grungy card games, proper dialogue, that kind of thing. I did feel there was a degree of narrative tension lacking, somehow, but it was beautifully made and brilliantly acted - 'proper' filmmaking...
