I had the day off work today, so I decided not to do lots of lovely lazy pampering type things, but instead make a start on painting the banister. Been wanting to do it for years and today's the day.

Paint pots, heights, ladder, balance = plenty of comedy moments I can share with you!

I wisely stopped half way through the undercoating, as I was starting to get a bit delirious (paint fumes I imagine), and I could sense some inopportune clumsiness.

A glass of wine will be most welcome later on - hopefully might untwist my back too.
