Dartmoor in the distance
Although it's been a beautiful day today, I only took one photo. We spent most of the day shopping in Plymouth and this is a glimpse of Dartmoor taken from the car on our way home. Our favourite city restaurant was full to bursting, so instead we had a late lunch of fish and chips in Tesco cafe at Lea Mill, on the way home. It was absolutely delicious - chips cooked to perfection and a very decent-sized helping of cod, again, beautifully cooked. It's the only branch of any supermarket that I know of whose meals are consistently tasty. Everything is cooked on the premises; they must have an excellent chef.
When we arrived home I spotted a red admiral on the Japanese aralia in the garden - as well as lots of hover flies buzzing round the flowers. Amazing how they're still hanging around.
