The Hardmans' House, Liverpool

A step back in time, to a photographic studio in the 1950s. The whole business was run from Edward and Margaret Hardman's home. I do like the advice on Make Up, and not to feel "bothered".

In the care of the National Trust. Only six on a tour, as hallways, and rooms, are narrow. Fascinating, especially the artistic touching up of portrait photographs. Definitely worth a visit.

We then returned to the Anglican Cathedral, and went up the tower. Really good views today. We were able to access the High Altar, and also found David Sheppard's memorial. Important words there from the book of Jeremiah (extra shots). "Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you ... and pray to the Lord on its behalf." Jeremiah 29.7.

We then walked to the memorial in Hope Street to David Sheppard and Derek Worlock. We met two brothers there, who gave us a Liverpool history lesson, and took us to look inside the Philharmonic Pub. Beautiful old glass, and impressive interior. From there, we finished our day off in the Central Library, old and new areas, loved the old Reading Room, and then admired the Pre Raphaelite artworks in the Walker Art Gallery.
