A larger than life lady.......!

I met Debbie in my first days at my last school. She was the Drama teacher...and was PERFECT in her role! SUCH a vivacious personality  and so full of enthusiasm. The pupils were both in awe of her and "terrified" at the same time, but she made them so proud of themselves with every Poetrymania and school production. She made them shine, even the most shy!

Today we said goodbye to her. Far too soon. She will be greatly missed and muchly remembered. She leaves behind a husband, daughter, mother , brother, nephew, niece...and an extended family of SO MANY friends, evident by an overflowing chapel at the cemetery and the written and spoken tributes made to her. We celebrated her life as she would have wished...with some moments of laughter and songs by her beloved Cliff Richard and the Strictly Come Dancing band! I am sure she would be proud to see her photo here. Thank you Debbie....

Debbie had fought a long battle with cancer and remained so positive right to the end and was even at school teaching on her one day a week at the beginning of September. In this BCAM season, please visit the website below and click on the link to give a mammogram to someone who would benefit from the opportunity to have one. Thank you..

The rest of the day has been very quiet.
