Before The Storm

We managed to visit our friend prior to the arrival of super-typhoon Lan. A lovely lady. A brilliant cook; we enjoyed her delicious okonomiyaki and tonjiru today. She's also a professional masseuse and she gave me a free half-hour session which really helped my painful neck and shoulders. Fun games and Halloween cakes. Super. 

Back home at 16:30 and the wind and rain are really starting to kick up, even though Lan is still in the south of Japan and not due to arrive here until tomorrow morning. I think it's going to get quite ugly.
