Wet

Rain all day.    But no matter.  La Boheme was the Saturday opera on the radio,  an old 1972 recording with Mirelli Freni, (who I actually remember seeing in the late 60s in Chicago in this “Mimi” role, so that was fun!)
Filled the bird feeders but the birdbath was already full!   Including with these golden cedar “flags” that are covering the ground now….(normal for cedar tress to do this in the fall but I think more after so much hot dry weather)     the splash is a leaf falling in the water.


Altho I’d just as soon not be too “social” today, our neighbors are insisting we have dinner with them —they won’t let us bring hardly anything.  but one is picking us up (at 5:00!) in his  boat to just go across the bay and will bring us home.  But heck, it’s dinner out!  and they are so darned nice to us!

Edit:  later    added pix of "the dinner party"..very nice..still raining and blowing (and very dark) on the way back...the dessert was forgotten so we will meet agin tomorrow at the other neighbor's.   :-)
