Sunset in the Channel

We had high hopes for a fantastic sunset tonight as we walked up the coast road towards dinner.  As it turned out, the sun eventually disappeared in a growing bank of cloud which is the precursor of Storm Brian.  Brian is whipping up a hefty wind and bringing rain now. High Tide was hitting the sea wall and dappling the road with spray as we walked home in the very darkness that is the west coast of Guernsey.  Good job we had torches on our phones.

We are in a very nice Airbnb about 150 yards from the beach and are looking forward to having a good look around tomorrow before we get the bus all the way round the coast to St Peter Port.
