Sheffield Park Reflections

I'd arranged to meet Kate at Sheffield Park this morning in the hope of catching the autumn colours, but the weather wasn't looking great thanks to 'Brian'. We decided to postpone meeting at 10am as planned and said we'd speak at midday and make a decision on whether to go or not, but then on checking my weather App, it showed that there would be a bit of sun between 1pm and 3pm.    I messaged Kate and we said we'd meet at 12.30pm in the cafe, have lunch and then visit the gardens.

Despite the weather, it  was very busy when we got there, the car park was almost full and there was a queue nearly out of the door for the cafe, but my weather App was right and as we'd finished lunch, the sun was shining and the sky was blue.  We were still a bit early to see the full autumn colours, but they're definitely on the turn and it was still very pretty.  Thanks for a lovely afternoon, Kate!

Alan's working from home, so I've put the heater on in the Palace so we can have Friday night drinkies in there, and I'm going to make a curry for later.

Thanks for all your comments, hearts and starts on my  Rising Sun yesterday,  which has made it onto the popular page.  I've not had chance to thank you individually yet, but I will do.

Happy weekend!
