Friday Fun

I'm writing this on Thursday evening, after a lovely day out with my cousin L1 in her charming North Carolina small town, on a perfect autumn day. One of our stops was the Lanier LIbrary, where L works part-time. We'll see it again tomorrow evening when we attend the evening events of the mystery festival shown above.

With us will be her twin sister, whom I'll call L2 . She lives in North Carolina as well -- a five-hour drive from here -- and their older brother K, who lives in Florida. Another cousin, W, is coming from Virginia, and on Saturday, B, another North Carolina cousin, will come for the weekend.

Getting two-thirds of us first cousins together in one place is a major accomplishment! I'm immensely grateful to L1 for hosting this reunion, and look forward to the sharing of childhood memories and our lives now as "senior citizens."
