Girl on the train.....

Whilst in Whitby - we heard that very homely sound of a steam train whistle.... oh the North Yorkshire Moors Steam trains set off from there!  So return tickets to Grosmont booked..... and a walk to Goathland planned..... all was going marvellously well.... the walk between the old stations was most scenic... and very good for the soul.

Waited a while for a steam train to pass through Goathland station to photograph...not realising there wouldn't be another one for 3 hours.  Some of you may know the village from the TV series, Heartbeat (Aidensfield)....and as lovely it was to see the Ford Anglia police car outside the village shops... there's not a great deal to do there for 3 hours.  So a bus back it was.... it's ages since I've waited at a village bus stop!  And a rather lovely trip back to Whitby over the moors it was.....
