Vine leaves

Today's the day ............................ to turn colour

The vivid colours of these grapevine leaves almost look as if someone has been out with a paintbrush.

Incredibly, considering the awful summer that we had, the vine was absolutely laden with bunches of grapes in September. The grapes themselves were all pretty small - and consisted mainly of pip - but it was still quite a sight to see. They all disappeared while we were away on holiday - presumably eaten by the birds.

Never mind, we still have the leaves to enjoy in October ........................
