Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Leave it, Archie!

Archie was very excited to learn of his bonus Elizabeth walk today. I didn’t tell him till about two minutes before her arrival, otherwise he gets too excited at the window. They had a huge big walk, some of it in the rain, a lot of it on muddy paths, but he also had a couple of paddles in clean rivers. Anyway, he always has a bath at Elizabeth's house, and comes home clean.

I managed to get a cancellation for the flu jab clinic this afternoon. Jab done. Job done. Funnily enough, Uncle A was there too, so a group of us trooped in en masse and bared an arm. Though we were then taken into another room for the actual deed.

I then met JR in the cafe that I used to frequent when I was going there every week for my acupuncture. I had a loyalty card that was tantalisingly close to a free coffee, so my second cup was free. The chap did fairly amazing things with the frothy milk. (Extra)

Archie was up and wanting out a couple of times in the night, so that we were rather tired this morning, but I was still quite early at the gym. In fact, briefly, I was the only person.

Archie seemed fine in the morning, despite his restless night - he was up to his usual tricks of trying to pinch my socks.
