Green, Green Grass of Home
Busy, busy day today.
About 5:30 pm I realised I hadn't taken any photos (again) so had a look around the garden for inspiration. Close to this grass were some little mushrooms, but in the end I preferred the bright green of the grass - and the water droplets of course.
We called the local water authority about 5 pm to register with them, and mentioned "Oh by the way, the little inspection box on the grass verge outside looks as though it has been run over and is sticking out at a very funny angle. No rush - it was like it when we moved in 6 weeks ago." At 6:15 the van and a man arrived for an inspection. He has just been in to tell us that they will be out to fix it on Friday and has put a cone over it for now (there are no street lights and you really wouldn't want to fall over it in the dark and into a ditch). That's service for you!
Off to Warwickshire tomorrow for C's cataract op at last. We could have moved it to Devon, but that would have meant being discharged and starting the whole lengthy process again from the beginning. Tomorrow will be a long day. The boys have gone to a kennels about a mile away - I bet they're sat there now wondering what they did wrong..........
