We had a brief visit to our local cemetery today, mainly in search of wax caps. There were very few fungi around generally and what there was had largely fallen victim to the mower. Somehow this Pestle Puffball (Lycoperdon exculpiforme) had escaped. It rather reminds me of a mini Henry Moore sculpture
