As I Passed the Harbour
12.8C. Storm Ophelia passed yesterday evening and through the night. Wind was SE/ESE with mean wind speed mid 40s with gusts up 69 mph for a few hours, then through the night swung round to SW/WSW with mean wind speed mid 40s mph with gusts to 56 for a period of several hours. Wind has been W/WNW to 34 mph for most of today, mean speeds dropping into the mid 20s mph this afternoon. Gusts have dropped from mid 40s mph to 32 mph. It has been bright with some decent sunny spells.
I went for a walk after lunch. Most of the fishing boats were out at sea. The loch looked a lot calmer than it did when I went for a walk yesterday.
