There and back again – Day 13
A lovely sunny day exploring Napier, which is apparently the Art Deco capital of the world.
The majority of the city was destroyed in 1931 after an earthquake.
The city was rebuilt obviously in the Art Deco style of the day and a lot of the buildings are still around today.
We were advised to do an Art Deco walking tour which was brilliant and gave us another insight into the city.
The hotel was right on the beach so we managed to get a sunrise walk / run in.
