Identity

I made it as far as the bottom of the garden today, that's pleasingly further than it seems and depressingly less than I'd like. I sat a while on a bench, the garden and I both tired and somewhat weather-beaten, both feeling and showing the end of this season and both awaiting the next.
Looking for something to blip I realised that everywhere this damp pallid weather has brought forth fungi in abundance. Hobbled to my bench and the solid security of the hard pathways I was never going to go exploring, but Orphelias early harbingers have brought down many dead branches, these tiny little shrooms were clinging to one. Too far gone (for me) to identify, sometimes things simply are.
